CENTRAL PROCESSING UNIT (CPU) :-
A computer receives instructions and data from input unit and stores them in its memory. It has to execute the instructions given to it through a central processing unit.
It contains of memory unit, control unit and arithmetic logical unit. The control unit, controls operation of all units of the computer. It brings one instruction at a time from the memory, interprets it and obeys it by coordinating the working of all other units. The control unit tells the input unit,as to which information is to be read and the location in the memory where it is stored.
It instructs the memory to store the result in the specificed address. It orders the arithmetic logical unit, as to which arithmetic operations are to be performed, where to find required data and where to store result.
